Work

Third year at Mindbloom. I was promoted to Head of Support and now lead the support team alongside broader operations work. This past year I built an AI agent that handles a meaningful chunk of our support volume, restructured how the team operates, and helped the company hit profitability (a major milestone for a Series B startup).

I still find deep meaning in expanding access to ketamine therapy. There's something rare about working at a company where the mission actually matters to you personally.

Family

Miles is two. He has opinions about everything and isn't shy about sharing them. I started a dad group in the neighborhood that's become one of the best things I've done (turns out a lot of dads were looking for the same thing).

Building

I dove head first into building with AI last year. At work I live in Claude Cowork. On the side I've been vibe-coding small apps (a Goodreads analyzer, a spending guessing game, and this website) using Claude Code and Cursor. I live in awe of the future we live in where I can speak out loud to my computer and it produces fully functioning products.

Learning

I've been doing personal growth work through the Conscious Leadership Institute and the principles from 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership. It's shifted how I think about leadership, feeling feelings, speaking what is true, and what it means to show up fully at work and at home.

Community

I went through the Neighborhood Village Project accelerator last year. Knocked on a hundred doors, hosted neighborhood events, watched people meet their neighbors for the first time. Adventures with The Strenuous Life continue to be a weekend a month. Boardwalks at Lady Bird Lake happen any weekend I'm free and in town.

Reading

I track everything on my bookshelf. Last year I read 20 books. I'm not a speed reader by any means, but I fall asleep most nights with my Kindle Paperwhite in hand. After finishing up everything Brandon Sanderson has ever written, last year I spent more time with Sci-Fi, LitRPG, and ongoing non-fiction explorations. I long to get back to literary fiction... but rarely have the energy to engage.
